Dojang News – August 2010

Congratulations Gabby, Joey, Matt, Ryan, & Sam for successfully grading for Yellow Belt.

The Dojang will close for summer vacation on Tuesday, August 31st and reopen for classes on Tuesday, September 7th(Enjoy your Labor Day Holiday and kids have fun going back to school).

Master Parm Rai (Technical Director of the ITF and 7th Dan) will be teaching a seminar at the Dojang on Saturday, September 18th. Regular classes will not be held. For adults the seminar is $65 at the door -$55 for those who pay by September 1st. For children the seminar is $25.00 for 2 hours. Please see/email Mr. Malefyt for Registration Forms.

The Dojang will be closed on Saturday, October 23rd as the instructional staff will be attending a seminar with Master Robert N. Wheatley (8th Dan, US-ITF President, Chair of the ITF Promotional Committee and Mr. Malefyt’s Instructor). The seminar is in Midland, Michigan. Please see Mr. Malefyt if you would like to attend. On Friday, November 12th Master Wheatley will be conducting a Black Belt grading at our Dojang. All are welcomed to attend and support Roberto, Barrie, David & Jessica (along with several students from other schools) as they grade for their next rank. A seminar, given by Master Wheatley, will follow on Saturday, November 13th – Regular classes will not be held and all students are highly encouraged to attend. Registration forms to follow. IMPORTANT NEWS: All those testing on November 12th must submit a Black Belt Status card Application for your expected rank along with your application. Also note that you must have a current valid status card as well.

Master Wheatley Specialty Seminar

Master Robert N. Wheatley is coming to All-Star TKD. There will be a Black Belt grading at the Dojang on Friday the 12th and a Specialty Seminar for all students on the 13th. Master Wheatley is Mr. Malefyt and Mr. Visaggio’s instructor. He is an 8th Degree Black Belt/Master Instructor, The President of The United States International Taekwon-Do Federation (US-ITF), and The Chairman of The International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) Promotional Committee.
